Byne Blueberry Farms

100 % Organic Blueberries grown in Burke Co Georgia

About

admin on Mar 17th 2009

Byne Blueberry Farms won the first Flavor of Georgia Contest for 2007- in the jams, jellies and sauces category. Read AJC’s article here. They have been heavily marketing the new product to Whole Foods. They had “runner-up” with the new

Blueberry Peacn glaze in this year’s competition.

Byne Blueberry Farms has been family owned and operated since 1980. (See an article written in 1981 here) In fact, it was the very first Commercial Blueberry Operation in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Despite all this, experience and know how is not what sells our berries. It’s the berries themselves…

The Berries

Our berries are 100% organic (just the way nature intended). The 20 acre patch off Burke County’s Story Mill Road is the perfect spot for growing the Byne’s signature Rabbiteye Blueberries. This special breed of berries (which has a higher fructose level) has become a local favorite because of its naturally sweet taste.

    Hello:
I am interested to know if you have a pick-your-own or similar program– do you sell direct to the public?
I am interested in larger quantities that I could make preserves with– a little more than would be affordable from retailers.
    Thank you,
    Chris

Do you do tours? or allow guests? Specifically in September. Have some friends coming to town and thought if you had tours or a gift shop I’d send them over.
    thanks.

BTW, wouldn’t you list Whole Foods, Ponce de Leon store in Atlanta as a store that carries your product? I’ve seen it there although not sure if it is year-round.

Hey Bynes , Looks like the blueberries are doing well. J C and I will have to check out Wholefoods here in California to see if they have your Jams and such. The girls are so big. You guys would not know Adam and Natalie if you say them. Natalie is still playing piano. We are all on facebook. Melisa and Heather Siela, Adam and Natalie Huisken and J C and Terri Habersham. Bye guys. keep up the good work with the blueberries.
